What Happens During
A Session?

Imagine you're at a museum with a friend.

You're lingering, you don't have anywhere to be except where you are.

You walk around sharing judgement-free observations about what you're witnessing

"that flower has purple petals"

or noticing

"that facial expression brings on the kind of sadness I felt when..."

That kind of dialog is what you can expect during a session - exchanges between us that are focused on describing the present-moment experience using your sensations and feelings. Emotional content may arise as part of the process, as you organize a deeper connection with your awareness.

I'm there to support you in feeling what's there to feel, whatever you bring to the table. Touch is measured, and consent & agency are foundational principles.

What To Expect During a Session

Nature scene

When you arrive for your session, we'll spend a few minutes settling in. Wear comfortable clothing. You don't need to bring or prepare anything.

We'll start with looking around the room and talking about what you're seeing, or naming what we are sensing in the present moment. This work adapts to your needs – sitting, standing, lying down, eyes open or closed, movement or stillness, with or without touch.

If it's the right fit for your system, you will get cozy on the massage table with a variety of blankets and props. I'll offer grounding touch on your lower legs and feet if that would feel nice, and we'll learn together about what kind of physical support feels best for you that day.

Together we will open up a gentle exploration of what you need, what feels right for you in the present moment.
